Fiberglass Rod

Fiberglass rods are manufactured through a pultrusion process, which allows for the modification of resin systems and the improvement of glass content performance to meet a wide range of demanding requirements for specific designs and applications. Compared to other materials, the flexibility of this resin blend makes pultrusion materials easier to use, have a longer lifespan, and are safer for end users. Due to its lightweight and sturdy nature, fiberglass materials are much more efficient than steel, aluminum, or structural wood. Fiberglass is 75% lighter than steel, but has the same strength. A composite material that is resistant to corrosion (acid, alkali, salt, and oil erosion), high temperature (long-term working temperature above 300 ℃), and has excellent insulation properties.

1. Raw material mixing: Mineral raw materials such as quartz sand and kaolin are mixed with chemical auxiliary materials in proportion.
2. High temperature melting: Melting into glass liquid in a tank furnace above 1500 ℃.
3. Wire drawing forming: Pull out 5-24 μ m continuous fibers through a platinum rhodium alloy leak plate.
4. Immersion treatment: Coating with epoxy/polyester resin to enhance adhesion.
5. Bundle drying: Multiple single filaments are bundled into the original yarn and cured.
6. Bar forming: resin impregnated fibers are extruded, heated and cured.
7. Post processing testing: cutting, polishing, and physical and chemical performance testing.
